Common Ground was our first large-scale community performance, bringing together over 80 children and young people aged 6-16 from local schools and community groups. Over several weeks, we collaborated with each group to create plays that celebrated local history and unity through the lens of football. We explored the age-old rivalry between the reds and blues, revisited the Milk Cup final, and reflected on the women's football ban, among other captivating stories. This project not only showcased talent but also celebrated a sense of community and pride in our shared heritage.
