Between the Lines: Community Drama Project

Earlier this year, pupils from North Liverpool Academy and Notre Dame awarded Unistar £5,000 to bring an exciting new project to life. Between the Lines is a youth theatre initiative for the Everton/Vauxhall Evolve area, delivered in partnership with Spirit of Shankly, and supported by funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner, with additional backing from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council.

The project works closely with schools and community groups to empower young people through storytelling and drama. It invites participants to look “Between the Lines” at the factors that shape their futures and explore ways to create positive change. Through drama, young people tackle important topics such as crime prevention, supporting victims, protecting vulnerable people, and addressing County Lines activity.

The programme culminates in a large-scale community performance, celebrating the creativity, voices, and ideas of young people and showcasing their visions for a brighter future.
